Lakeland Tops
Just back from spending a week in the English Lake District.

For those of you unfamiliar with our largest National Park, it's in the extreme NW corner of England and contains both our largest lakes and highest peaks.  Wildlife to be seen includes red and roe deer, red squirrels, badgers, foxes, eagles and more.  Many visitors and residents believe it to be the most scenically beautiful part of our country; it has been the inspiration for poets and artists for over two hundred years.

I'll put some of my holiday snaps here over the next week or two.  Like all holiday pictures I was dependent entirely on the light and conditions prevailing when I visited the different these places.  Consequently I have employed photshop rather liberally.

Not being familiar with the area myself I can't tell you exactly which these peaks are or where the shot was taken from.  Genuine Lake District afficianados will recognise the view instantly and will probably be able to name each and every summit.
