Wastwater Screes
These screes are composed of broken rocks that have been shattered off the mountain by frost.  They reach several hundred feet up the mountainside and well down below the water surface.  Despite being made of loose rocks and with the constant risk of rock slides and falls there are, paths through these rock fields for brave and hardly souls.  Two can be seen in this picture.
